Our next destination

Time changes many things. Moments. Lifestyle. From travelling every week to only once a year is a random switch however it shouldn’t be something to be “worried” about. I didn’t travel as much when I was a child or a teen so I shouldn’t act spoiled that it changed in the first place. Life changes every day and we don’t know what tomorrow will bring other than the things you’ve planned yourself. And sure did we plan our next holiday! Are you curious for our holiday destination?

I always love to plan ahead. I even love to ask you guys where I should travel to when I already know where I want to go – I’m just very in need of attention. Kidding! I’m actually interested. I google what you mention and sometimes I’m close to changing my mind. I will look up your dream destination, see what the deals are and then continue. How about food? What’s the weather like? Is it expensive to stay?

Last year February ‘18. We, Roger and I, booked a trip to Los Angeles. To be really honest, I didn’t want to go but he’d never been. I wanted to go elsewhere. Anyway, a really close friend of mine moved from Sydney to LA and I hadn’t seen her for a while. Last time I travelled to Sydney, she already left. Although I’ve been to LA before, I couldn’t recall what I loved or even hated about that city. This trip refreshed my “bad” memories. Yep, traffic still sucked. Yep, people were still nice! I’m so glad Roger loves food just as much as I do, so finding places to eat was easy peasy.

In only two weeks it’s been a year since we’ve been on a proper holiday. We’ve visited cities in Europe but that’s not the same (in my eyes it isn’t). Anyway, what I tried to say is.. we’re going to ibizaaaa. Not. I’m excited to announce that we’re going to Asia!

In ‘16 I travelled through Asia for 4 weeks. And I fell in love with everything. Each country had its own uniqueness. Yes, last year when we booked LA, I wanted to go to Asia. LA wasn’t like a real holiday. I mean don’t get me wrong, I didn’t work so it’s still a holiday. By holiday I mean: beaches, sun, pool, food. LA was pretty cold and we wouldn’t chill by the ocean. It was mainly sightseeing and shopping – nothing wrong with that but I loooooove hiking. I love nature. I love jumping off cliffs of just sit there for hours and listen to good music. Maybe it was the time as it was February and not summer.

But Asiaaaaa! I’m so happy and excited. I haven’t been to Asia in two years and I really miss it. Roger “proposed” to me in LA. Asking with a Ring Pop if I wanted to travel with him more often. So here you go my man! I got you a trip now! Are you curious for our travel itinerary?

We start in the beautiful Singapore! We’re flying with Lufthansa. We flew with them to LA and we really enjoyed it. We land in Singapore on the 11th of June and stay till the 14th. Enough time for me to meet up with long lost friends and show Roger my favourite places in the city. Also as we like a combination of city and nature, I think Singapore has both. Also, I experienced a lot of good food there.

We fly to Bali on the 14th. Why did I choose this? Didn’t I say sun, pools, beaches, food. Okay yes! Proper holiday! I work 4 days at the Sneaker District office and Friday is for Careaux. I really want to do nothing. And that’s not much to ask for, it’s normal to have a holiday and clear your mind. Bali is the best place for that. I’m going to spend 3 days working on social media content and the other 7 I’m gonna work on my tan, jump in & out of the pool and get fat.

We leave Bali on the 24th for.. Hong Kong! We leave Hong Kong on the 27th at night and have a red-eye flight to Amsterdam. I have the weekend to recover from the trip and hope to skip the jet lag. Last time I went I didn’t really see a lot. It was raining all the time and I was there for maybe 1,5 day. Also another reason is a really close friend of mine, Trevor. So when I lived in Sydney, I think Trevor and I were unbreakable – we still are but I live in Amsterdam and he lives in Hong Kong now. He didn’t have a job for a while so he stayed with me in the Dam for a good month too in ‘17. I haven’t seen him since so also a reason why Hong Kong.

I wished we could go to Tokyo too but we decided to keep that for the next trip, then we travel through Japan. Starting in Osaka, Kyoto etc.

Although I visited all three places, recommendation on where to go, where to eat and what to see/visit or to do are very welcome. And I’m always open to meet up! So if you want to create dope content with me, don’t be scared to hit me up!
