A night FILA’d

Before I start. These great images are taken by Nikki van Toorn. She never cease to amaze me. This girl can shoot with bad light, crazy snowstorms and even make me look good when I have bags under my eyes. But what a night it was. Firstly, the location was well-thought off. Secondly, I ended up going with three of my favorite co-workers. And lastly, there was food. And not just any kind of food. It was catered by our one and only – and I have to say – best snackbar from Amsterdam: FEBO!

To be really honest, and if you know me very well, I do not like events. At all. But this time I was very surprised. The welcome was warm, thank you for that Eva! Felt really comfortable and we first had something to eat and checked the venue.

FEBO. Dutchies don’t need an explanation about this food chain but for my overseas readers I should explain it. FEBO is a snackbar but not just one with a counter. Nope. It’s know for its “Snack out of the wall” system. Basically you put money in the wall, push the button, a door with your food opens and you eat it. And this system was also found at the event. Not with food but with a t-shirt or a cap of FILA. But as I said, it was catered by FEBO so we still had some good snacks.

Location. This is something I very enjoyed. I never seen an event like this being held at a MECHANIC SHOP! There was a crazy ass Ferrari covered with FILA stickers and DSTR97 on it – which was the only item that wasn’t owned by the shop. But other than that, everything was just as oily and dusty as any other mechanic shop.

But we came for the FILA DSTR97. I already saw it pop up on social media, and this is what I do like about events, the items are always there to see. Images don’t always do the job – I reckon. You have to see them with your own eyes and feel them in person. And yep, the sneaker was actually surprisingly good! I didn’t expect that. Later on I received my pair and here is an other thing. They look bulky and this is what you wouldnt think of them but they are extremely light – not heavy, at all. Not too many layers, a nice mesh and a 3M pop between two materials.

Thank you PUBLIC pr for the invite!
