Travel essential with Herschel x Hello Kitty

My parents never lost faith in me. Honestly they have never really been worried about me of my private life. I would always find a way out of my current situation and lift myself up again. But when I lost my job in march 2018, I wanted to run back to them. For any kind of reason really. I had no home anymore cause I couldn’t pay my rent. I also had no solid income. And that’s where it started. I became stressed and overworked myself because money had to come in and I still didn’t have a new job so freelance was a hustle again. After being “jobless” for 4 months, I landed myself a new creative spot at Sneaker District and an amazing apartment just outside of Amsterdam. Until now, 1,5 years after settling into our new life, we haven’t taken any time off. My body but mostly my mind show the effects of not taking rest. I haven’t been feeling well lately. I’m exhausted. And my body was so tired that I actually got sick last week – I hate being sick..

You NEED time off. You need to take rest. You need to leave your environment once in a while. Even if it’s still in Europe but just away from your every day work. It’s normal. It’s healthy. It’s good for your mind and your inspiration. And of course there is me who takes full advantage of the time off. Our vacation time is finally here. You don’t wanna know how long I waited for this. In only a few hours from now, we will hop on a plane to Singapore, Bali and Hong Kong.

Two weeks ago Herschel Supply sent me this amazing travel pack and I can’t wait to use it. I have to say, this is so exclusive man. I tried to google this collection but it’s still nowhere to be found! So, I’m here to show you guys what they gifted me. No, this is not sponsored. I really want to show this to you because I received so many DM’s about it and I think it’s actually so dope that I got it already.
UPDATE: THE COLLECTION IS NOW ONLINE! I know I’ve mentioned August but it’s online now! like I’ve also said: pay attention to their website and socials. So those who did may have noticed it and if you havent, CLICK HERE!

I received a small cross bag, which is my fave model of Herschel when it comes to their small bags. It’s the model “Cruz” crossbody. It’s soft pink with a tonal Hello Kitty outline print. A small Hello Kitty on the front and a cute red bow on the strap. The inside is a repeating Hello Kitty print. It has a small strap to hang your keys on. Super smart so you won’t lose it. And one extra sleeve for maybe your hotel pass ;).

The big bag is actually the same when it comes to the detailing and the prints. I don’t know the name of the model. I’m so sorry, I also threw out the tags already so I can’t look it up. Very smart. Not sure if it’s really that necessary anyway. But the size of it is amazing. The shoulder strap is amazing. It’s not a thin strap but has an extra filling that makes it lean on your shoulder comfortably.

The suitcase. Can’t say anything bad about it. The handles are steady and has a nice material around it. The suitcase is also covered with the all over Hello Kitty print, even inside! It fits 5 sneakers, if I would take only sneakers with me but of course, I wouldn’t (not gonna lie that I actually could)

When I travel for a longer period of time, the content of my hand luggage will be a bit different from when I go on a weekend trip/business trip.

What are my travel essentials?
I will always bring an extra outfit. Just in case. My most expensive shoes I will bring with me in my hand luggage, also just in case..

What else can you find?
– Make up/refreshing wipes
– perfume
– handcreme
– lip balm
– headphones
– make up because yes, the first few days you still look a bit like a zombie due lack of sunlight so….
– a neck pillow
– Nintendo switch
– iPad Pro
– Paracetamol
– Trachitol and honey licourice (it’s good for your throat)

Room for enough candy and snacks! And even more snacks! I usually bring a nice bag of popcorn, along with several kinds of fruity snacks: apple, mango and watermelon. Cookies and crackers. Peanuts, granola bars and crackers! I also bring my own tea because I don’t like their extremely black tea after dinner, it’s so gross.. so I’ll just ask for hot water and have my own flavours. Usually I bring green tea with me.
